Examinations Offered
Tuberculin Skin Test (also known as PPDs) are offered through the health department’s immunization clinics.
Chest x-rays are offered for a fee for those who test positive on the tuberculin skin tests. CDC does not recommend yearly x-rays for those who are previously positive. A chest x-ray is needed when someone initially tests positive and then only if they have symptoms consistent with TB or they are a known contact to someone with infectious TB.
If you are starting a new job your employer may request a chest x-ray. If your employer is requiring yearly chest x-rays please call (385)468-4222 to discuss with your employer.
